Citrus-Kissed Cannabis Cold Brew

An 18-hour cold brew steeped with orange peel and lemon zest, finished with a low-dose limonene-forward tincture. The citrus sings in stereo — bright, clean, made for the first light of morning.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup coarsely ground light-roast coffee (Ethiopian or Kenyan single-origin)
  • 4 cups cold filtered water
  • Wide strip of orange peel (no pith)
  • Wide strip of lemon peel (no pith)
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary
  • 1 tsp cannabis tincture (~2.5 mg THC per serving, limonene-dominant)
  • Oat milk, for serving
  • Honey or simple syrup, to taste
  • Ice

How to make it

  1. 1

Combine ground coffee, cold water, citrus peels, and rosemary sprig in a large jar or French press. Stir gently.

  2. 2

Cover and refrigerate for 16–18 hours. No less than 14, no more than 20 — bitterness lives at both extremes.

  3. 3

Strain through a fine-mesh sieve lined with cheesecloth. Discard grounds, peels, and rosemary.

  4. 4

To serve: fill a tall glass with ice. Pour cold brew to three-quarters full.

  5. 5

Add cannabis tincture (dose per glass) and stir gently — the cold won't degrade the cannabinoids.

  6. 6

Top with a slow pour of oat milk. Sweeten if desired. Drink before the ice melts.

Cooking tips

  • Pair with Tangie or Super Lemon Haze — the limonene echoes the citrus zest.
  • For a non-infused version, skip the tincture and you still have an excellent citrus cold brew.
  • At 2.5 mg per glass, this is a functional dose — mood lift without impairment. Start here.
  • The rosemary adds a pinene whisper that keeps the profile complex. Don't skip it.

Why this pairing works

Limonene — in your strain and on your plate

The brightest terpene on our list, limonene is the citrus engine behind sativa-leaning, mood-elevating strains. It pairs naturally with bright, acidic dishes and works beautifully as a daytime, social terpene.
