Slow-Cooked Cannabis BBQ Ribs
Fall-off-the-bone baby back ribs lacquered with a smoky, slightly spicy glaze and finished with infused barbecue butter.
Ingredients
- 2 racks baby back ribs (~3 lbs)
- 3 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tsp cayenne (optional)
- 1 cup high-quality BBQ sauce
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 4 tbsp cannabis-infused butter (~5mg THC per tbsp)
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
How to make it
- 1
Pat ribs dry and remove the silver membrane from the back of each rack.
- 2
Combine brown sugar, paprika, garlic, onion powder, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Rub generously over both sides of the ribs.
- 3
Wrap each rack tightly in foil and bake at 275°F (135°C) for 2.5 hours until very tender.
- 4
Whisk BBQ sauce with apple cider vinegar; reserve half for serving.
- 5
Unwrap the ribs, brush with the working half of BBQ sauce, and finish under the broiler or on a hot grill for 5–8 minutes per side until lacquered.
- 6
Remove from heat and immediately brush with melted cannabis-infused butter (do not broil after adding).
- 7
Rest 5 minutes, slice between bones, and serve with reserved sauce.
Cooking tips
- Brushing infused butter on after cooking preserves cannabinoids and adds rich glaze.
- Pair with a myrcene-forward indica for a deeply relaxing post-feast experience.
- For a smokier flavor, finish over charcoal with hickory chips for the last 10 minutes.

Why this pairing works
Myrcene — in your strain and on your plate
Myrcene is the most common terpene in cannabis and the engine behind many indica-style sedating effects. Earthy and herbaceous, it loves rich, slow-cooked, comforting foods.
